One of those wonderful quizzes... Well it had to be done...
You scored as A Slave To BDSM. Admit it, you like being tied up and being told you've been very naughty. You like teasing your partner and making them squirm, and not letting them be able to do anything about it. Some people think what you do is sick and disgusting, but you know it's all in good fun.

    Coffee @ Clapham
Tonight is in some ways the end of era... In some ways not.

For the last x number of months I have been meeting the lovely Jess for coffee at Clapham Junction in the Costas there. We sit - we chat and catch up in general.

In around three weeks time Jess will be moving to Exeter and whilst there will still be trips to Costas at Clapham they will not be the regular meetings that they have been.

I'm going to miss Jess a lot - she will always be a dear and wonderful friend and I look forward to finding out what the next era holds.

    An evening by the river
    Nothing much really...

Just wanted to say that this evening I had a nice walk along the South Bank opposite the Houses of Parliament...

    Was accompanied by Teresa.

The European Championship - or whatever it is *actually* called..
They say you should do something that scares you once a day... Well tonight - I did.

Dave (my flatmate) and Emma (his girlfriend) were at home when I got in from work - they suggested that I go into Kingston with them and watch the Liverpool - Milan game with them.

I accepted; figured that it was better than sitting at home. This was only the second game I had ever watched in a pub...

Now I am not the worlds greatest football fan; I see it as 20 overpaid individuals running around a prepared field trying to get a spherical object into a net past two other overpaid individuals...

But having said that Liverpool were of use to me as a six / seven year old - I quickly learnt that there were two camps at Belah - one that loved Manchester United and one that loved Liverpool... I learnt who was in which and learnt how to give the right answers... It saved my skin on a number of occasions since the two parties did not mix...

Well it saved my skin until the parties did mix...

But I enjoyed it; having a few drinks - watching men with their testosterone fuelled "Liverpool" rants... Watching with humour as people walked out during half term thinking it was all over... Laughing over my bet that Liverpool would go down five - nil; knowing that the Universe would piss me off by allowing Liverpool to win... It is the joys of the Jess constant... If you understand how it works at least qualitatively if not quantitatively - you can - at least until the Universe realises that you know - use it to your advantage on things that do not directly affect you to get your desired aim...

The universe should have figured out by now that I know - it is playing with me... But I know that it is... Queue infinite loop...

Watching the girls - some of which were quite nice being there and enjoying it to bond with their guys and really not enjoying it...

I did get caught up in the penalty shoot out... I was pleased to see Liverpool win; mostly because their captain is from Liverpool...

I can actually say and show those that will be the fruit of my loins - tonight - the night that Liverpool beat Milan after an historic fight back that I was sat drinking Magners cider in O'Neill's in Kingston...

Auspicious - perhaps not... But I was there; I saw it and well it scared me...

    Work stuff
People sometimes ask what I do during my days at work - I thought perhaps for once I would actually write something about what I do in my days.

Today I have had the pleasure on working on an anti-virus server upgrade.

The product in question is Trend Officescan.

    http://www.trendmicro.com/en/products/desktop/osce/evaluate/overview.htm

In case anyone is interested. It is an interesting product; sort of works; once you have the upgrade done successfully... It has been slightly irritating as these things never work as straight-forwardly as they should.

The upgrade however has been mostly a success however we still have a number of the office machines to move across to the upgraded server - this is proving a bind and more irritating than it really should be... Hopefully that bit will be resolved today....

Today I have also done a firewall upgrade for another client. My regular client contact is Greek and sounds utterly lovely... One of my colleagues that has had the pleasure of meeting her says that the voice is as pleasant as the rest of her... Sometimes being the guy that doesn't do the installations is a bitch...

That upgrade was as smooth as one of mentalmadam's satin sheets...

    The Eurovision Party
Get's ready for mentalmadam to slowly step back... *grins*

I was invited round to an evening soiree where - yes I admit it - I watched the Eurovision Song Contest...

It was however also an engagement celebration for a friend of a friend... Watching the Eurovision Song Contest had the following side effects...

    3 glasses of Champagne
Half a bottle of vodka - with diet coke
    Two huge steaks.

I also got to see the German entry... Ok so Cristina and Tarja don't have anything to worry about but really - there was enough to appreciate there...

And the scores were so cool - you could see the Country name moving up... Ok - so I'm a geek as well as many other things... Brought back fond memories of being a kiddy and watching it with my nanna and grandad...
